Kate Gosselin Admits, 'I Made So Many Mistakes'

Kate Gosselin has a new perspective on life since her days as a reality television star according to the latest issue of PEOPLE.

The mom of eight explained to the magazine that she has changed since last appearing on television. She rose to fame on Jon & Kate Plus 8 which chronicled her life with her husband and their children. The duo divorced in 2009 and her show, Kate Plus 8 was cancelled in 2011.

"I'm living very carefully these days," Gosselin said.

Gosselin, who has primary custody, said that she was supporting her large family through various projects. She admitted that it was hard no longer relying on a steady paycheck as she used to during her heyday. She said the prospect was a scary one but acknowledged her role in the reversal of fortunes. She admitted to making a lot of mistakes.

"It feels like a whole other lifetime ago," she said. "And sometimes I don't even remember much of it. Both when the babies were first born and during the divorce, I was on survival mode. I feel like I've lived two lifetimes already. I'm not the same person I was ... I don't even recognize her."
