Lee Thompson Young was found dead Monday, August 21, in his North Hollywood apartment with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head but there was no suicide note according to a report published Tuesday.

According to Us Magazine, the actor also did not leave any suicide note behind. His family and Rizzoli & Isles costars are currently mourning for his death. The Famous Jett Jackson star kept a diary but the investigators did not find any reason why he would take his own life.

Many people still considered the tragic event a mystery. The police stated that the actor was a clean-cut kid who wasn't into alcohol or any drug problem.

However, some close friends of Young noted that things "really changed" when the actor had a new religion called Yorùbá, which is an Africa-based religion. This particular religion has a saying,  "iku ya j'esin", that means "death is preferable to ignominy." Some had asked if this means that suicide is an tolerable method to preserve individual or family honor in society.

The star "took [his religion] to the next level and started wearing white all of the time," says a source, adding, "This religion was everything to him."

The production of TNT's Rizzoli & Isles has been suspended for the week as investigation continues in order to find out why Young committed suicide. There were no definite date as to when the series would begin production again.
