Lance Bass has commented on a possible N'Sync reunion at Sunday's MTV Awards during his during his SiriusXM show "Dirty Pop with Lance Bass" on Tuesday, Aug. 20, Us Weekly reported.

Bass was coy and did not outright confirm or deny the rampant speculation. He claimed that rumors would begin because Justin Timberlake is being awarded the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award. He is also nominated for six awards.

"This morning I woke up to a lot of rumors flying [around] that the 'N Sync reunion is happening after eleven years at the VMAs this Sunday. Well, let me tell you how this all came about. Justin Timberlake is getting the Michael Jackson [Video] Vanguard Award this Sunday at the awards, so of course people are automatically going to think we're going to be there performing," he said.

Bass also commented on the matter via Twitter.

On Tuesday, the internet went into a buzz after rumors circulated that the 90's boy band would reunite at the upcoming VMA Awards in Brooklyn at the Barclay Center. Sources told the New York Post that J. C. Chasez,  Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick were scheduled to join Timberlake onstage for a reunion performance. N'Sync last performed together as a group in 2003 and then officially disbanded to pursue solo opportunities. Timberlake proved to be the breakout star of the group, amassing hits and acclaim on his own.
