Demi Lovato Will Play Naya Rivera’s New Love Interest on 'Glee'

In real life, Demi Lovato seems to be getting back with Wilder Valderrama. In the reel world, Lovato will have a new romance on screen.

As a guest star for the much-awaited fifth season of Glee, Lovato will play the lesbian love interest to Naya Rivera's Santana Lopez, according to Us Weekly.

"She's playing my love interest, so I'm very, very excited about that," the 26-year-old actress told MTV News on Sunday, Aug. 25. "We get to sing a song together. It's gonna be good. I'm excited to work with her. We're bringing her to the dark side. Well, she comes in in a Beatles episode, so [we're singing] a Beatles song. I'm excited."

Lovato is also excited about her guest role in the Fox musical series. She tweeted on Monday, Aug. 26: "Wayyyyy too excited to be starting @GLEE this week!!!!!!! Asjfkdjshdk. I can't believe I'm going back to acting but the best part about it is that I get to act/sing with some of my really great friends . . ."

Rivera said that the mood of the Glee set has been "terrible" since they came back to film the new season. This is due to the tragic death of her costar Cory Monteith.

She is clearly still mourning the death of the actor along with all the cast of Glee. She also said,"It's horrible. So many, so many [memories]. He was an amazing guy and I definitely miss him."
