'The Science Guy' is back on DWTS! Bill Nye is joining the Season 17 of Dancing With the Stars, and says he is prepared to perform on the dance floor with his vast knowledge of physics, according to Us Weekly.

"It's all physics; it's all the study of motion," the PBS TV star said during the Good Morning America cast announcement on Wednesday, Sept. 4. "I'm feeling great."

"I do like dancing," the 57-year-old mechanical engineer told Us Weekly about joining DWTS. "We're in this to win this. I mean, I went to a pretty tough engineering school and then I worked in children's television with Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers. I played in that league." He added: "I'm in this to do my very best. To get the mirror ball trophy."

His partner will be Tyne Steckline, a newcomer to the long list of returning professional dancers on the show. "I'll be shakin' it on #DWTS this season with the wonderful @TyneStecklein," Nye tweeted shortly after the pairin. "I can already feel the burn..."

"He's a great student. He's very smart, obviously, which helps," Stecklein told Us. "He picks things up really quickly and he gets it and he enjoys it. And he works really hard."

Nye will really have to work hard in order to win the tough competition he faces in the upcoming seas as other celebrities are vying to win the mirror ball trophy this year.

Season 17 of Dancing With the Stars will air on Monday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
