Bethenny Frankel is not afraid to start over following her split from husband, Jason Hoppy.

Frankel is PEOPLE's cover story this week. The reality TV star and talk show host opened up about how her once amicable separation has turned nasty. The 42-year-old said that the past nine months have been very difficult for her.

"You just just have to say we're going to get to the other side," she said. "I'm not going to be afraid and I'm not going to get more than I can handle."

Frankel also said that she has been celibate since her split from Hoppy. She has focused her energies on their daughter, Brynn. The now single mother is also devoting her time to her talk show. She said there was not much time left for any new romance.

"Men aren't a priority right now - at all," she said.  And that's not expected to change anytime soon. "Since I'm emotionally unavailable," she says, "it may be a very chilly winter."

In January, Frankel filed for divorce from Hoppy. The couple had married in 2010 and rumors had begun that they were struggling.

"It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating," Frankel, said in December 2012. "This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family."
