Donald Glover Talks About Instagram Rant

Donald Glover has talked about what has led to a series of disturbing posts on Instagram on Monday, Oct. 14, People reported.

His long list of dark admissions included: "I'm afraid my parents won't live long enough to see my kids," "I'm afraid people hate who I really am," "I'm afraid people think I hate my race," "I'm afraid people think I hate women," and "I'm scared I'll never grow out of bro rape." All of these statements were handwritten on Marriott hotel stationery.

On Wednesday, Oct. 16, Glover told People what drove him to share the post.

"That night, we had a show, and then afterwards, I had this moment of feeling like, 'What's the point? Why am I even here?'" Glover said. "I just wanted to write down my feelings. I definitely was just expressing myself."

The 30-year-old star emphasized that he is not suffering from depression.

"I was just tired of telling people I was tired. It felt like every day someone would ask, 'What's wrong. Are you OK?'" said Glover. "And I would say, 'I'm tired, I'm tired.' I didn't want to do that anymore. I guess sometimes not telling the truth is just as bad as telling a lie."

However, the actor was still glad that he was able to get all his thoughts off his mind.

"It felt like I had been holding on to something," he added.

He has committed to a shortened season of Community this year. He denied that his music career was the reason he left the TV show. When he was asked by People to elaborate, he declined.
