Many people were expecting Miley Cyrus to give another one of her famous performances at the 2013 American Music Awards on Sunday night, Nov. 24, but they were all in for a surprise.

Cyrus gave one of her more subdued performances during the awards show. The birthday girl (Her birthday is on November 23) sang "Wrecking Ball" with a digital cat singing along on the screen behind her, Us Weekly reported.

In case, the synching cat was not enough, Cyrus also didn't disappoint the fans with her outfit. The singer wore a cat-print two-piece leotard that was truly revealing. She wore high-cut bottoms that gave the millions of people watching a sight to remember. This outfit is pretty much what she wore three months ago at the MTV VMA.

She also accessorized with gigantic lucite bangles and square-shaped earrings.

At the middle of the performance, the cat went from blissful to angry to sad. The cat actually cried.

Cyrus has talked about her addiction to cat videos. She even brought her favorite cat video when she was a guest at the Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2012.

"I watch way too many of those videos. That's why I love having so many dogs. I'm never bored. I can watch them play forever. I'm never bored," she told the host.
