A would be murderer butt dialed his victim and let him know about his impending murder, The KAIT reported Monday.

68-year-old Larry Barnett of Jonesboro, Ark., wanted to hire someone to kill his former employee. However, while the owner of Legend Motor Company was hiring a hit man for the murder, he revealed his intentions to the victim. He did so by butt dialing his former employee who heard the plot to have him killed. The intended victim contacted the police.

Sergeant Doug Formon explained how it all came about to the paper.

"Basically, he overheard a conversation between that individual and another unknown male and he was giving out his personal information, his address, where he lives," Sgt. Formon said.

An affidavit gave further details as to what Barnett wanted to happen.

"I don't care if you have to burn his house to the ground with him in it" and to "make it look like an accident."

The phone conversation also revealed that Barnett wanted to have his former employee killed. However, those plans fell through. He offered the new hitman $5,000 to commit the murder and the rest of the payment when it was done.

"I owe the little son of a ***** a bunch of money and if he's gone, I don't have to pay for it," Barnett allegedly said on the call.
