The autopsies of actor Paul Walker and friend Roger Rogas are still pending as the case has been "placed on security hold," according to the coroner's office.

It is unclear on why the case is on security hold. This security hold would be at the request of the police or the coroner department. According to Lieutenant Fred Corral of the LA County Coroner's Division, the delayed examinations were due to the fact that the case has not been completed, Entertainment Wise reported.

"I'm not sure if the bodies have been identified or if the examinations were complicated. We've been extremely busy here," Lt. Corral said. "The only time we would put someone's autopsy on security hold is at the request of the police department or at our own request. That simply means that the case has not been completed."

A spokesperson for the LA County coroner's office said that the autopsy results are likely to be announced today [December 4].

It has not yet been determined how fast the 2005 Porsche Carrera Rogas was driving was going at the time of the crash.

In a previos statement, the LA County Sheriff's Department said that there are "eyewitness statements that the car involved was travelling alone at a high rate of speed."

The Fast and the Furious star was killed alongside his friend, Rogas, when the Porsche smashed into a pole in Santa Clarita, California on Saturday, Nov. 30.

A statement on Paul's Facebook page confirmed the death: "It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.

Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time."
