Amanda Bynes is all about healthy living. Just two months after leaving a Southern California treatment center, the former child star focused on getting fit and secretly attended a week-long boot camp earlier this month.

Life & Style reports that Bynes checked into Miracles Fitness Retreat in Sandy, Utah on Jan. 4.

"She contacted us and said she wanted to lose 5 pounds and tone up," owner Austan Torson told the magazine. "She stayed in a private guest suite and had a trainer, fitness classes and a nutritional adviser. A chef prepared three gourmet meals every day."

While on campus, Bynes appeared just as any other participant in the program, joining in on the activities and staying active.

"She was very social and really enjoyed exercising," Torson explained. "She always participated and loved it!"

Miracles co-founder Eve Torson added, "She did activities with us every day, six to seven hours a day."

Following her week in boot camp, Bynes began classes at Los Angeles' Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). "She was very nice, friendly and chatting with her classmates," a source told E! News of Bynes' first day (Jan. 14). She was "originally going to be a fashion design major but has now decided to pursue merchandise and product development. She is enrolled part-time for the winter quarter."

Since leaving treatment at the beginning of December of 2013, Bynes has been moving in a positive direction and spending tons of time with her family. In the future, she hopes to create her own clothing line.
