Fans and even non-viewers of the Biggest Loser were shocked when winner Rachel Frederickson broke records of the show with a 155-pound weight loss. She insists that she lost weight by following the strict regimen prepared by the show's nutritionist and by taking three to four workout classes each day.

Usually, at the finale episode of the Biggest Loser, viewers of the show praise participants who lost a ton of weight during the show. However, that was not the case here. When Frederickson weighed in at 105 lbs., she was actually the first contestant to finish the show with a BMI of 18, which is considered as underweight. People have expressed concern over the extreme weight loss of the winner, however, she said that "health is her main priority."

Frederisckson told Us Weekly: "First and foremost, my goals are to be healthy and strong. I'm an athlete and have been an athlete since I was a little girl. I went on the Biggest Loser journey to find that confidence that I lost. Through the challenges I fought to get into the finale, I found that girl again. I'm embracing this new part of the journey."

She even revealed to People her diet and exercise regimen saying that she takes "maybe three, four classes a day" at the gym and "continued to follow the support system that I had from The Biggest Loser's [diet] plan, Dr. Cheryl's nutritional advice and ... continued to eat super healthy."

NBC also released a statement defending the Biggest Loser champion and all the participants of the show, the statement reads: "We support Rachel and all of the Biggest Loser contestants who have shared their journeys over the past 15 seasons. We remain committed to helping contestants achieve healthy weight loss and live healthier lifestyles, and to inspiring viewers to do the same."

The new thin body of Frederickson sparked a viral message on the social network Twitter with most of the tweets pointing out to the expressions on the faces of trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels. Many also tweeted that the champion looked unhealthy and anorexic, which was the opposite of the show's objective. Only a few congratulated her with the 155-pound weight loss.

Shannon Hurd tweeted that Frederickson looked weak and unhealthy. In an interview with AP, she said that: "Looking at her 'after' photo, I guess I saw ... a piece of myself way back when, and it really just struck something deep down. I don't know if she's anorexic, but I do think her weight loss is so extreme there is no way her loss can be maintained through normal habits, and unfortunately that leads to distorted thinking."
