Simon Cowell Shares First Pictures of First Son with Lauren Silverman Baby Eric

Simon Cowell and girlfriend Lauren Silverman welcomed baby boy Eric on Feb. 14. The baby weighed  6 pounds and 7 ounces. On Sunday, Feb. 16, the couple left Lenox Hill Hospital and took their newborn baby back to their hotel.

The X-Factor judge has been gushing over his son since he arrived on Valentine 's Day. He even shared the first photos of her son on Twitter on Sunday, Feb. 16.

"Mum, Dad and Eric. Now two days old," he wrote in the caption of a black and white photo of him, Silverman and baby Eric laying in bed.

He then posted another close-up photo of Eric saying: "now you can see how very handsome little Eric is."

It was not suprising that the doting father took to Twitter to share his baby's first photos as he also announced the arrival of Eric through his Twitter account.

"Very happy to say Eric was born at 17.45pm. Healthy and handsome," he tweeted.

He also explained in a tweet that his baby was "named after my dad." Cowell's father is Eric Seig Phillip Cowell who passed away in 1999.

"Lauren in great shape. Thanks for all of your kind messages," the 54-year-old also tweeted.

Many stars have been sending their congratulations to Cowell and Silverman.

Terri Seymour, Cowell's ex and close friend said that she "can't wait to see them all."

Mario Lopez tweeted: "#Congrats to my boy @SimonCowell & his Valentine's Day baby!!! Smooth move... Only you could pull that off Sir."
