Tori Spelling has reportedly pressured husband Dean McDermott into joining her on her new Lifetime document series True Tori.

Amid their ongoing marital troubles, Spelling inked a deal with the network, which would put her and her family back on television, letting the world see them behind closed doors as they work through their issues, but McDermott isn't thrilled with the idea.

McDermott “is far from being a willing participant," an insider revealed to Radar Online on April 3. "He felt extremely pressured by Tori to do the reality show. Tori told him they had to do it because their fans want to know what is going on with their marriage."

Following a highly-publicized affair at the end of last year, McDermott entered rehab, promising to address his "personal issues" and become a better man for the sake of his family. But while McDermott is dedicated to making up for his mistakes and mending his family life, he doesn't feel that a reality show was the right choice.

"He asked Tori to wait a few months before doing the reality show, he just needs some time…but she insisted it had to be now," the insider explained. "Reluctantly Dean agreed because he feels this is all his fault.”

True Tori, which promises to reveal whether Spelling and McDermott's marriage will survive, began filming on Monday and will premiere on April 22 at 10 p.m. on Lifetime.
