'Teen Mom 2' Star Kail Lowry Attempts To Reconcile With Her Mother After Years Of Drug Abuse

Teen Mom 2 star Kail Lowry is giving her relationship with her mother another try.

On the show, fans watched as Lowry and her mother, Suzi, failed at rekindling their relationship, but after filming season five, the pair made contact once again.

“They have been talking on the phone,” an insider close to Lowry explained to Radar Online. “Kailyn has forgiven her mother.”

Throughout her childhood, Lowry struggled with having to been the parent in her relationship with her mother. Since the age of 8, the reality star's mom has struggled with addiction and unable to hold a steady job – or carryout a successful relationship with anyone.

In her new book Pride Over Pity, which will be released later this month, Lowry opens up about how she became the woman she is today after going through such a traumatic childhood. While having to essentially raise herself may not have been the healthiest thing when she was a child, she has since fogiven her mother and vowed to do better in the eyes of her own to kids, Isaac, 4, and Lincoln, 5 months.

At this point in their relationship, Lowry isn't quite ready to allow her mother into the lives of her kids, but hopes that one day, they will get there.

“She has a dream that one day her mom will be a doting grandmother,” the insider said. “But she knows that may never happen.”
