Dean McDermott Lawsuit: Ex-Wife Accuses Tori Spelling's Husband Of Using Cocaine, Alcohol And Prescription Drugs

Dean McDermott has reportedly been accused of drug use in a lawsuit filed by his ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace.

According to a sworn declaration made by Eustace in 2005, McDermott's ex-wife claimed he used drugs regularly (even while home alone with their young son) and, at one point, brutally beat their family dog.

"In March 1999, I went to my parents for a family gathering with Jack [her son with McDermott, who was an infant at the time]," Eustace recalled in the documents, according to Radar Online. McDermott "missed the gathering because he didn't feel well. During the course of the event, Dean McDermott walked into the living room, threw a bag of cocaine on the table and said, 'I have a cocaine problem.'"

From there, Eustace claimed McDermott wanted to go to the emergency room but did not. Instead, Eustace calmed him down and learned that he had used cocaine when he was in the house alone with their son, Jack. Eustace later arranged for McDermott to get involved with a support group, which she said helped him gain control of his addiction to cocaine -- but only "for a while."

Eventually, after McDermott met and began a relationship with his now-wife Tori Spelling, the pair split and Eustace credited McDermott's "use of cocaine, alcohol and anti-depressants/prescription drug medication" to his "erratic behavior."

Eustace and McDermott's divorce was made final on March 13, 2006, after 12 years of marriage. The former couple now share joint custody of their teenage son, Jack.
