George Teichner Fiance: Dana Lavette Cody Speaks About 'RHONY' And Their Future Wedding

Aviva Drescher's soon-to-be step-mom, Dana Lavette Cody, is speaking out in a new interview about her time on the show and future with George Teichner.

Last month, fans met Cody during an episode of The Real Housewives of New York City as the girlfriend of Drescher's father, Teichner, and on that very same episode, the pair became engaged. Now, Cody is opening up about the Bravo show, her relationship with Drescher and her and Teichner's wedding plans.

"It was nerve-wracking but the ladies are cool," Cody explained to The Dish. "I was extremely nervous! I was thinking, '[Aviva]'s going to rip me a new one!' But she was so welcoming and she embraced me. I was more comfortable than I expected to be."

Cody and Teichner first met at Cody's salon. After giving Teichner a manicure, Cody received a surprising critique from Teichner, who told her she did "ok," but that he wanted to speak to the owner. Once she revealed herself as the owner, Cody and Teichner engaged in a debate, but eventually became friendly and Teichner expressed interest in investing in her business. After coming together for a lunch meeting, Teichner asked Cody to dinner, and their relationship went from business to personal and luckily for Cody, Drescher has been completely accepting of it.

"We get along really well," Cody explained of her relationship with Drescher. "We email and text back and forth a lot. And I get along with her children too!"

In fact, Cody and Drescher are actually planning to work together on her and Teichner's upcoming wedding.

"Aviva came here and asked about wedding planning and I said we could just go to the ocean or our backyard if we have to. But she wants to collaborate," Cody explained. "So I'm meeting with her this month to talk about what we'd like to do."

The Real Housewives of New York City airs on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
