Sonja Morgan has just lost her French villa.

While the Real Housewives of New York City star recently claimed to be selling the home for $8 million, a trustee has since sold the home for much less as part of her ongoing bankruptcy case.

"The trustee in her longstanding bankruptcy sold off the Riviera vacay spot for $5.7 million," TMZ reported, via court documents, on June 17.

After failing to raise money for a film project she was working on with Hannibal Pictures, the company successfully sued Morgan for $7 million, which reached a total of $8.5 million as a result of attorneys' fees and interest. Because of the judgement, Morgan was forced to file for bankruptcy. At the time of the judgement, Radar Online reported that a lien had been placed on Morgan's earnings and assets. Then, on Dec. 17, 2013, Judge Rita Miller signed off on the lien being extended until Jan. 13, 2015.

Prior to selling the reality star's St. Tropez home, Morgan's court-ordered trustee reportedly ran into several issues with the property, one being a problem with wild boars destroying the landscape of the home.

Despite her financial issues, Morgan told Celebeat last month that she was doing just fine.

"I have a house. I’m lucky to have a house, so many people don’t. I have a job," she explained.

Morgan also addressed her co-stars' recent comments about her financial troubles.

"All these concernings come from the girls, but I don’t know that they are really concerned," Morgan admitted. "They should be more concerned with themselves. I’m doing just fine."
