Zac Efron Drinking 2014: Actor Reportedly Never Gave Up Alcohol, Despite Addiction Issues

Zac Efron was photographed drinking in Ibiza this weekend.

According to a new report, Efron, who has admittedly struggled with addiction issues in recent months, was drinking alcohol on Friday night, while spending time with rumored girlfriend Michelle Rodriguez in Ibiza.

"[Efron] is not only back on the bottle ... we're told he was never off it," TMZ reported on Aug. 2, along with a set of photos of Efron with a bottle in his hand and his fist in the air. "Zac has had big issues with substance abuse ... going to rehab twice last year for cocaine addiction. We're told he's also a big drinker."

In early 2013, Efron reportedly sought treatment for alcohol abuse and drug addiction. At the time, Radar Online reported that the actor had been in treatment for five months before leaving to focus on his career. By May 2014, Efron appeared to be on the right track and claimed in an interview that he liked being "completely sober." He also confirmed he was no longer drinking.

However, according to TMZ's source, Efron has been drinking ever since his 2013 rehab stint and despite his ability to quit once in a while, he always returns to his old ways.

Explained the source, "He'll stop cold for 3 or 4 days when he has to work and then he's back."

Efron arrived in Ibiza earlier this week, and has been enjoying time with friends, and Rodriguez, who is also a drinker. On Thursday night, the pair was spotted at an Ibiza nightclub together, where they were seen kissing.
