While the female rapper recently denied claims of a sex tape, a new source has stepped forward, revealing Azalea starred in the film -- and alleging her ex-boyfriend plans to release the tape to damage her image and career out of revenge. Unfortunately for the ex-boyfriend, releasing the flick may be out of the question.

In a statement to TMZ on Sept. 11, Azalea's legal team claimed it "may indeed be her in that sex tape ... but there's also a chance she was under 18 when it was shot."

The legal team noted that any film featuring Azalea having sex would be the work of a "spurned business suitor" who is trying to ruin her career. They also alleged that the footage may have been shot "without her knowledge or consent" and, possibly, when she was underage.

On Thursday, following TMZ's initial report of the alleged tape, Azalea took to Twitter, where she told fans she was not featured in the film.

"I don't have a sex tape, but for the record, anyone who releases or attempts to make a profit off someone else's intimate moments against their will is a sex offender," Azalea wrote.

If Azalea does agree to release the film, she and her ex-boyfriend are set to make a pretty penny. According to TMZ, Vivid Entertainment's Steven Hirsch is ready to make a "seven-figure" deal to obtain the rights to distribute the tape.

No word yet on the identity of the ex-boyfriend.

Azalea is currently dating NBA star Nick Young, and was previously linked to rapper ASAP Rocky.
