Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo have called it quits.

After three years together, the R&B couple are going their separate ways.

"I just wrote the saddest song of my life," Sparks wrote last week on Twitter, according to a Sept. 25 report by Radar Online. Meanwhile, Derulo told KDWB in Minneapolis, "Everything is cool man. It's not a bad situation, it's not one of those kinds of things."

Sparks and Derulo were rumored to be a couple in Sept. 2011, but didn't confirm their relationship until Jan. 2012.

Days before their split was announced, reports surfaced, claiming Derulo had been partying with other women in Las Vegas.

Throughout their relationship, Sparks and Derulo were candid about their love for one another.

"You can't fake anything because true love is true love, and that's the basis of our relationship," Derulo told E! in 2013, according to a Sept. 26 report by Daily Mail.

The comment followed the release of his "Marry Me" music video, which Sparks starred in.

"It is about Jordin actually, and it's talking about how amazing it will be when I get down on one knee and it will be the greatest moment of my life," he said of the song.

This break up seemingly appeared out of thin air. Just last month, Derulo told E! how "positive" their relationship was.

"Of course we have problems just like anybody else. But our relationship is a positive one and that's good for people to see in today's entertainment industry," he said, according to Daily Mail.
