Comedian Chris Rock recently did an interview with New York Magazine and it covers a whole lot of topics. From Bill Cosby's sexual assault claims, to his Nancy Meyers inspired romantic comedies and talks about his wealth.

One of the comedians he met early on his career is Cosby and he described him as "disdainful" towards him.

Rock, gave his thoughts on the current Cosby allegations of sexual misconduct, explaining, "I don't know what to say," Rock said. "What do you say? I hope it's not true. That's all you can say. I really do. I grew up on Cosby. I love Cosby, and I just hope it's not true. It's a weird year for comedy. We lost Robin [Williams], we lost Joan [Rivers], and we kind of lost Cosby," according to US weekly.

Rock was one of the actors who was deeply affected with the passing of Williams this August. He said that "comedians kill themselves" and he went on to explain that comedians have the signs of schizophrenia, as they tend to notice things other people don't.

On top of these current tragedies going on, the 49 year old says he is not a bit affected as he has his wife, Malaak, and his two kids, Lola and Zahra as the very people who gave the star to focus on.

The Top Five writer and director added that comedy is the only marketplace that takes out Hollywood out of its inherent racism, sexism and anti-semitism.

The Grown Ups actor spoke fondly of Nancy Meyers and he confessed that he would love to do a romantic comedy with the director. And specifically picks Scandal actress Kerry Washington as his leading lady. Meyers is known for helming Father of the Bride (1991), Something's Gotta Give (2003), The Holiday (2006), and The Parent Trap. He is inspired by Meyers saying, "I love her. It's nice taking your mother to a Nancy Meyers movie. It's tradition. They should have one every Thanksgiving or Christmas."
