GOP Staffer Loses Job After Facebook Rant on Sasha and Malia Obama

A former government staffer loses her job as she dishes out on First Daughters Sasha and Malia Obama, posting some controversial comments on them through social media. 

 Communications director Elizabeth Lauten who worked for Republican Congressman Stephen Fincher, raised some controversies after posting a Facebook rant last weekend regarding U.S. President Barack Obama's kids. The Facebook post has gone viral ever since. The now unemployed Lauten wrote about President Obama's daughter's appearance and supposed demeanor during the traditional pardoning of the National Thanksgiving Turkey last Wednesday, November 26.

 Even though the original post has already been deleted, it still managed to spread all over social media like wildfire.

 "Dear Sasha and Malia," the newly resigned GOP staffer said right away. "I get you're both in those awful teen years, but you're a part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play. Then again your mother and father don't respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I'm guessing you're coming up a little short in the 'good role model' department."

 After some bit of unsolicited critique on the First Couple's parenting, Lauten continued: "Nevertheless, stretch yourself. Rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don't make faces during televised, public events."

 The former government staffer criticized the sisters' casual outfits-Malia, 16, and Sasha, 13-who were wearing sweaters over a dress, above-the-knee skirt and tights, and black booties. In some screen caps, Malia and Sasha were caught looking a little less interested at some point while their father was presenting, something Lauten thought was disrespectful.

 Lauten deleted the initial post, afterwards writing an apology for her reaction (although the second one does not appear on her Facebook account as well). In an NBC News last Monday, December 1, Lauten confirmed that she has been working out her resignation from Rep. Fincher's team.
