After months of thoroughly searching for The Price is Right Male Model, it has been announced on Dec 8, Monday, that hunky James O'Halloran is the lucky guy.

The 30-year-old Industrial Designer came from the land down under in the city of Melbourne, Australia. O'Halloran grew up watching the game show, the Australian version. The longest-running game show's US version is hosted by Drew Carey.

By Monday, Dec. 15, O'Halloran will start modeling on the game show. There were a hundred hunks who had auditioned for the coveted part, and was reduced to 30 finalists last October. The competition was judged according to three traits namely - personality, appearance, and ability to model a car.

The Australian model beat out finalists, Jay Byars and Jonathan Morgan. The game show's model search was being compared to America's Next Top Model, less Tyra and more abs!

"I'm just humbled that I was chosen, I guess my accent probably did help," he explained. "I spent four years studying industrial design and worked three years in the industry," he added on. "But I was taking nighttime acting classes. Then, in the midst of a global recession, I quit my job to become a model. I think it worked out for me so far!" according to People.

Robert Scott Wilson was the show's first-ever male model who did the stint for a week but later on became a two-year stint. Wilson became a part of the online incarnation of All My Children in 2013 after The Price is Right.
