Beyonce surprises Laverne Cox with a Christmas Card

Santa Claus has come to town for Orange Is the New Black star, Laverne Cox and it would seem that her Santa is none other than Beyonce Knowles herself. The 30-year-old, Emmy nominee posted in her Instagram last Friday, December 19 her present from Queen Bey. The gift contained a green sweatshirt with the Partition lyrics printed on it, "cake by the pound" and a photo of the award winning singer printed on another Christmas sweater. Along with it came a note that read, "Happy Holidays, Love Beyonce."

Of course, Cox was more than ecstatic as her Instagram photo included the caption, "When I opened this holiday card a few days ago and read Love @beyonce I literally fell to the floor I was on the floor of my apartment. I have witnesses. Love the #CakeByThePound sweatshirt. Thanks Bey for the gift. I have had an awesome year and this is certainly a highlight."

But she wasn't done yet as the actress also expressed her overwhelming gratitude to the singer not just limited to the nice gift she received. "Happy holidays Mrs. Carter to you and your beautiful family. Thanks for all the amazing music and endless inspiration you've given to me and so many over the past 16 years. Since No No No I have been saying YASSS YASSS YASSS! #QueenBey foever."

Laverne Cox recently made it as the cover model for Time magazine's "The Transgender Turning Point" issue and had also expressed that she looked up to Beyonce, according to the New York Daily News last June. In the article she said I live for Beyonce, I live for Jay Z less, but I live for Beyonce." Guess the queen heard her and decided to bestow her a gift of thanks for being such a loyal fan to her.
