The Real Housewives of New York Season 7 News: Bethenny Frankel wants to keep it private on her new relationship

Currently, the Real Housewives of New York seventh season is underway in its production. Apparently, Bethenny Frankel's highly-exposed return hasn't been nearly as intense as producers were hoping.

Jason Hoppy, Frankel's estranged husband, was instead offered a chance to be on the show, according to sources.

In a report by The Inquisitr, "Bravo thought having Bethenny and Jason work out their ongoing issues related to the divorce in front of the camera would be ratings gold," an insider explained to Radar Online on December 5. "The scenes Bethenny has filmed with the other ladies have been rather boring, and producers have been disappointed. Bethenny wasn't consulted about the proposal because she would have been livid," the source said.

However, when producers approached Hoppy, he immediately declined the offer.

"Jason turned it down flatly because he wants nothing to do with the show ever again! As for trying to resolve the major problems facing Bethenny and Jason, it just won't happen."

Frankel's new boyfriend, Michael Cerussi, will be featured in a limited role in the show as Frankel doesn't want her personal life to be exposed on the show.

Frankel's reason on her privacy with her current beau is her never-ending divorce to Hoppy. She doesn't want him to point to anything she has done with Michael and use it against her in court. Being legally married, with the divorce still pending, Bethenny is going to have to explain this all to their daughter, Bryn, 4, when she gets older. Bethenny wants to be able to tell Bryn she handled everything with class and dignity.

The Real Housewives of New York season seven will premiere sometime in 2015.
