AMC's The Walking Dead returns February 8 at its regular 9 PM time slot with a still untitled Episode 9. However, that and the succeeding episodes are already complete. In fact, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Andrew Lincoln who plays central character Rick Grimes revealed: "episode 9 is one of the great episodes we've ever done. And 10 is the episode I always wanted to make. And then we do something very, very different in the back half, but believe me when I say it comes full circle and I think the back eight is some of the most interesting storytelling we've ever done on this show. It's so exciting to do. It's been scary, but also it's been thrilling because it's so different."

Obviously, the next episode will take off with the group still reeling from the shock of seeing Beth Emily Kinney) die. Beth after all has been part of the show since Season 1. This grieving for her loss is revealed in the teaser clip uploaded by the networks which largely dwells on Beth's burial.

It may be remembered that in the closing scenes of "Coda," Beth following completion of a trade of hostages, confronts Lieutenant Dawn Lerner (Christine Woods) and stabs her with a pair of scissors. Instinctively, Dawn shoots Beth in the head. Instinctively too, Daryl (Norman Reedus) shoots Dawn in retaliation. Both groups found themselves in a standoff, until the police officers decide to stand down since they too knew that their boss Dawn has already become unhinged. Rick declines Dr. Edwards (Erik Jensen) offer for sanctuary at the Grady Memorial Hospital, and instead makes a counter offer for the wards to join them. However, only Noah (Tyler James Williams) joins Rick's group. They were leaving the hospital just as Sgt. Abraham Ford's (Michael Cudlitz) group was arriving. Daryl was seen carrying Beth's body out as Maggie (Lauren Cohan) breaks down over her sister's death.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old Emily Kinney, who played the now deceased Beth, has moved on with her career. Also a recording artist with a studio album to her name (Expired Love), she just debuted her new single Rockstar which is now available for download at Apple's iTunes.
