Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, the sixth installment in the Paranormal Activity film series, is scheduled to be released on March 13, 2015, by Paramount Pictures. Directed by Gregory Plotkin from a screenplay written by Jason Pagan and Andrew Stark, the upcoming supernatural horror movie will be seen in theaters in 3D. Aside from Kate Featherstone who will be reprising her original role as the franchise's main protagonist 'Katie Featherstone,' the names of the other actors who will comprise the cast of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension have yet to be announcedKatie is the only character to appear in all the Paranormal Activity movies.

According to the plot summary, the family to be the subject of paranormal activity will this time comprise of husband and wife Ryan and Emily, their 6-year-old daughter Leila, and Ryan's younger brother Mike. Leila has a sister who died the year before. The film's location is Pala Alto, where they have just moved to from New York, so that video game designer Ryan can start his new job at

GTA developer Rockstar. Emily is described as an earth-mother type who does yoga, while Leila is a tomboyish combination of her big-kid dad and more mature mom. Ryan and Emily has another daughter who died before they left New York. There's no explanation of why Uncle Mike lives with them, but he's been described as "essentially a less fit, less funky" version of his older brother. And it goes without saying, Ryan and Emily's family quickly realizes something is not OK within their new house in Pala Alto.

About the upcoming installment in the long-running film series, last year's Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones writer-director Christopher Landon told Coming Soon: "Gregory Plotkin, who is directing, he's been the editor on all of these and if there's anyone who knows these movies, it's him because he has to sit with all of the footage all day long. I think he's going to take it in a cool direction. We obviously have discussions about it because we want the movies to be connected. So, we were talking at the end of [The Marked Ones] because it's going to be tied to what they're doing in the fifth film."
