Well, it seems things are about to change for the NASCAR game fans. They have not had a new game from NASCAR for quite some time now.  However, a new game based on the property is well under development. A new studio, DMi Games, located in North Carolina, has confirmed they are developing a new NASCAR game after getting the license and go ahead. The game being created is meant for play on Xbox One, PC and the PlayStation 4. Because of the issues with the licensing, the new series had been dormant for some time now, as was told by DMi Games.

Ed Martin, the president of the North Carolina-based DMi Games explained that the new NASCAR video game carries more than thousand licensed and approved properties and it means that a whole lot of stakeholders and people had to come together and get things organized.  The new NASCAR game is scheduled to get released in 2016. The designer and developer team is already working vigorously as they are also working on other games side by side.

The change in ownership has been complex and time consuming indeed, because of the complexity of the agreements involving the licensing. DMi Games had to get the license to develop and create games from Eutechnyx, the prior custodian. Martin announced the new contract and development. He has been working on NASCAR games since the early '90s and has the experience of developing and producing games for different game companies. Sports and Papyrus have been the most distinguished game company that has developed NASCAR games. Eutechnyx and Activision were also involved with NASCAR games till the recent handover to DMi Games.
