The Boy Next Door, the erotic thriller is set to hit the theatres on Friday (Jan 23). This movie has been directed by Rob Cohen and main star cast includes the 'If you had my love' fame Jenifer Lopez, John Corbett, Kristen Chenoweth, and Ryan Guzman.

The movie is a story of Claire Peterson, a high school teacher and a mother, who asks her husband Garrett to move out of the house and demands separation from him. She alleges that her husband is into frequent casual sexual relationships with other women. Out of loneliness and despair, Claire gets attracted to a 19-year-old high school student, Noah. She gets into a one night stand with her younger neighbor and what follows is a reverse fatal obsession that Noah develops for her.

Though an ordinary thriller premise, this movie is one of the few that has been directed to keep the woman as the center of the movie unlike most of the male dominated films. One such movie was Gone Girl, where Rosamund Pike was appreciated for the role of a woman who fakes a rape to get back to her husband whom she betrays.

Although The Boy Next Door hasn't received great reviews or comments from the critics, the movie is great for those looking for a good movie with danger and drama. Jennifer Lopez has always been an under-rated actress and are excited to see her in this new film.

Apart from the lead star cast, other crew members include Adam Hicks, Lexi Atkins, Ian Nelson, Hill Harper, Travis Schuldt, and Bailey Chase. This low budget film is expected to fetch around 12 million dollars in its opening week, remarkably higher than the money spent on the movie.
