Relativity Media and The Weinstein Company's Jane Got A Gun is scheduled to be shown in theaters beginning February 20 according to Movie Insider. Previously planned for showing on August 29 of last year, the release to cinemas of the western action drama was postponed, firstly for February 20, then to September 4 of this year, because of casting and production problems. The original director, Lynne Ramsay, walked out on the first day of shooting. Then, original lead actors Michael Fassbender, Jude Law and Bradley Cooper followed suit one after the other. Fortunately, the film retained the lead star Natalie Portman who is also a co-producer in the project.

As of June last year, the production status of Jane Got A Gun was reported as already completed at the IMDB. Also, the studios have begun releasing during the first week of the year a series of promotional still photos from the film, lending credence to speculations that its theater screening will be reset back to the February 20 date previously announced.

Natalie Portman plays the character Jane Hammond, the Jane in the title. Others in the cast include Joel Edgerton, Ewan McGregor, and Rodrigo Santoro, along with Noah Emmerich, Boy Holbrook, Alex Manette, James Burnett, Sam Quinn, River Shields, Chad Brummett, Jacob Brown, and Boots Sutherland.

Directed by Gavin O'Connor based on a screenplay written by Brian Duffield and Anthony Tambakis, Jane Got A Gun tells the story of a good girl, Jane (Portman), who's married to Bill (Emmerich) the leader of a gang of outlaws. Bill turns against his own gang. The gang, now led by John Bishop (McGregor) attacks him. Barely alive, Bill got home with eight bullet wounds on his back. With his former gang still hot in pursuit, Jane has to take matters into her own hands. However, since she knows can't do it alone, she asks her ex-lover Dan Frost (Edgerton), a known gunslinger, for help.
