First-time mom Zoe Saldana skipped the 2015 Golden Globes Award despite the fact that her latest work The Book of Life was a nominee for best animated film because she feels she need to be home with her newborn twins. Her breasts were also sore from pumping milk for her Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio. In fact, Saturday evening before the awarding show, she tweeted fans: "So ladies- moms... Breastfeeding moms. What do you have to say about pumping??!!! #babies #Breastfeeding #breasts hurting!!" She also posted that: "It's looking like popcorn on the couch along milk bottles for the little guys while the #globes are on for us."

According to Huffington Post, Saldana's fans quickly responded to her post with advice gathered from their own personal experiences as well as with messages of solidarity and understanding, including from a father who told her about the particular kind and make of gel pads which he buys for his wife.

Saldana, 36, and Italian husband Marco Perego, 35, welcomed their twin sons on November 27 whom they officially introduced to the world on New Year with an Instagram post captioned, "Our boys CY and BOWIE are finally here. #marcoperego and I wanted to thank you for your beautiful wishes and for your patience."

Regarding the scheduling of her lined up projects like the sequels to Avatar, Star Trek, and Guardians, she made it clear that she won't be going back to work in a hurry after giving birth. She told Entertainment Weekly: "I don't know! I'll tell you when I'm there... I know that we will work everything out.... And also, they don't have a choice! I'm not going to rip my child off my tit to go work. And if I do that, then maybe you shouldn't hire me because I am willing to sell anything. It's nature! Like, you just cannot do it. What kind of mother would I be? There's no choice. It's like, 'What, you want me to leave my newborn so that I can work 16 hours on your set? He's only a month old, are you out of your mind?'"
