'Jupiter Ascending': Cast, Latest News, Release and Speculations: Watch Trailer (Video)

With less than two days left for its release, rumors about the Warner Bros. production Jupiter Ascending are making the rounds. According to the sources, the space action-adventure-fantasy movie has all the sci-fi elements in it; however, the movie is expected not to meet the level of the magic that The Matrix created more than a decade ago. Jupiter Adventure has been produced, directed, and written by The Wachowskis, who earlier directed Cloud Atlas. The characters in the movie are expected to bear similar costumes and hairdos, a little underdone though.

Jupiter Ascending narrates the story of Jupiter Jones, who cleans toilets to make a living and to take care of her extended family. As a child, she wonders what destiny has in store for her since it was predicted at the time of her birth that she was meant to do great things. One day Caine, a genetically engineered interplanetary ex-military hunter lands on Earth to find Jupiter. Upon finding, he narrates how her genetic makeup makes her the successor of the alien dynasty.

The movie stars Mila Kunis as Jupiter Jones and Channing Tatum as Caine. Other actors include Sean Bean, Tuppence Middleton, Douglas Booth, Eddie Redmayne, Christina Cole, James D'Arcy, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Several special effects are believed to be included in the movie; however, the effects are not expected to be up to the level of other space sci-fi hits such as Gravity and Interstellar.

With mixed reviews and released trailers, the movie is reportedly said to be similar to The Hunger Games in space. The movie was originally scheduled to release on July 18, 2014. It was pushed back to February 6, 2015 back in June last year, saying that the movie still required more special effects. Let's wait and see if the movie meets the expectations of the excited sci-fi epic fans.
