‘Nurse Jackie's’ Dominic Fumusa Joins Cast of Michael Bay's ‘13 Hours’

Dominic Fumusa, 45, who is currently seen in the TV series Nurse Jackie as Jackie's husband Kevin Peyton, is now the latest confirmed cast member of 13 Hours, a film adaptation of Michael Zuckoff's book, titled "13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi."

Zuckoff's book, a political drama about the 2012 attack on an American compound in Libya that left U.S. ambassador J. Christopher Stevens dead, is particularly focused on the story of the special-forces team that attempted to mount a rescue mission.

Fumusa, according to sources cited by The Hollywood Reporter, will play John 'Tig' Tiegen, an ex-Marine with weapons expertise, who is also a quiet family man with a wife and two kids. He is one of the American security operators who fought to protect Americans stationed at the U.S. State Department Special Mission Compound in Benghazi, Libya.

Fumusa joins David Denman who will play an elite sniper named Boon, along with John KrasinskiJames Badge DaleMax Martini and Pablo Schreiber who are already attached to the film but whose roles have not yet been announced.

13 Hours will be directed by Michael Bay from a screenplay written by Chuck Hogan based on Zuckoff's book. Shooting will begin April in Malta and Morocco according to the entertainment news site.

Fumusa recently played the role of Jared in Focus, the heist romantic comedy thriller starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie. He also appeared as Captain Angelo in the 2012 war film Allegiance. He will be seen back on the small screen when Nurse Jackie returns April 12 for the premiere of its seventh and final season. His other TV credits include guest starring roles in such shows as Person of Interest, Elementary, Bones, CSI, NYPD Blue, Sex and the City, The Sopranos, among others.
