Joe Manganiello has pulled out of Ryan Murphy's horror-comedy TV series Scream Queens.

Sofia Vergara's fiancé needs time to concentrate on promoting Magic Mike XXL, according to FOX.

The hunky star will be replaced by Kate Hudson's brother, Oliver Hudson. He currently stars in ABC's Nashville and will take one of the male leads that will pair him up with Lea Michele.

Hudson had collaborated with Ryan Murphy before with Glee, where he was a guest star from 2012 - 2013.

The gig on Scream Queens won't affect Hudson's status on ABC's Nashville, whose fate for next season is still unclear. Hudson has a one-year series regular deal on the country music drama and will be juggling it with Scream Queens until the ABC series wraps production.

According to US weeklyScream Queens' first season will revolve around a college campus rattled by a series of horrific murders. It also stars Nasim Pedrad, Jamie Lee Curtis (the original scream queen from other early '70s and late '80s slasher flicks likeHalloween), Nick Jonas, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, and Keke Palmer.

Scream Queens is set to premiere in the fall with 15 episodes.

On the other hand, Magic Mike XXL will star, aside from Manganiello, Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez, Gabriel Iglesias, Andie MacDowell, Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith and Elizabeth Banks.

The movie's plot will dwell on the stripper's adventure while they take on a road trip from Tampa to Myrtle Beach for a stripping convention.

Magic Mike XXL release date will be on July 3, 2015.
