The Return of the Dashing Strippers in "Magic Mike XXL"; Channing Tatum Shines in the Role

The handsome Channing Tatum returns to the big screen as the dashing stripper Mike in "Magic Mike XXL" as a sequel to the successful "Magic Mike" 2012 movie as reported by the Business Insider.

Tatum, who was a stripper before hitting it big in Hollywood, was inspired by the stories behind male strippers.  Teaming with director Steven Soderbergh in the first movie and now the executive producer, Tatum also co-wrote the new movie with Reid Carolin who is now directed by Gregory Jacobs.

Soderbergh's hand is still very much in the movie as director of photography and the film's editor.  He lets Jacobs, who is his first assistant director in the first movie, do Soderbergh's job.

"Magic Mike XXL" starts where the first movie left off with Mike out of the stripping business at the height of his prime.  Living in Tampa with his furniture-designing business, he meets up with the other Kings of Tampa friends who are also trying to quit.  Mike and team go to Myrtle Beach to do a final performance.  Along the way, they made stops in Savannah and Jacksonville and renew friendships plus made new ones.  They also learned some new and cool moves which they will use on their final blowout show.

The trailer of "Magic Mike XXL" shows Tatum performing a dance routine in his studio as he cannot resist the classic R&B playing in the background.  It seems that dancing is still his kind of stress reliever.

Tatum got high praises for his success in the first movie which features his expertise on the dance floor, together with his charming good looks.

"Magic Mike XXL" is slated to be shown this July 2015.
