Apple is the one dominant tech giant ruling the mobile market. A prominent introduction in the streaming technology has been the Apple TV. In the wave of the recent developments though, the TV seems to be getting aged. Apple finally decided to change that. Reports suggest that the Apple TV is going to appear in its upgraded form this summer. The new box is set to provide a lot of new features including an A8 processor, advanced support for Siri voice input and an onboard storage of 8GB.

The new processor on the Apple TV would be capable of matching that of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus versions. The Siri might bring in control options and even HDTV games. Along with its other features, Apple might actually get an edge over other game consoles like XBox One and PlayStation. The control options are anticipated to be very much smartphone-like. HBO Now is also to be an exclusive of the Apple TV.

Entertainment streaming sites such as Netflix and YouTube allow a select number of 4K resolution movies through streaming TV's. The current version of Apple TV provides viewers with a huge database of movies and TV shows. It also streams popular channels but is lacking in that it has little options and few apps. The recent upgrade of the device might just get Apple what it needs most to be the number one device.

Apple also promised to offer a software development kit to encourage third-party developers to write application for the TV box. So what other surprises the TV might have, is yet to be seen.
