Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge are the latest devices released by Samsung. The enhancements on both are many, but can one be classified better than the other? Here is a summarized comparison of the two devices.

Though upgrade has been made on both, the two Samsung devices have entirely different specs. Samsung retired the microSD slot and expanded its in-built memory on both the phablet and smartphone. It also let go of the removable battery system and the Qualcomm processor. They introduced their Exynos brand and enhanced the RAM type from DDR3 to DDR4 which is faster. The built-in memory has also been upgraded to a 2.7 times faster UFS 2.0.

Upgrades have also been made on cameras and fingerprint sensors of both. The Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS remain the same along with the heart rate sensor, microUSB port v2.0 and quick charge option.

Samsung Galaxy Note enjoys a wider screen of 5.7 inch as compared to Galaxy S6. It has a slightly lower display resolution of 515 PPI while Galaxy S6 has 577 PPI. Both operate on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Galaxy s6 has a better front camera of 5 megapixel against 3.7 megapixel of Galaxy note. The CPU speed and battery capacity are all weighed in the favor of the note at 2.7GHZ and 3220MAH respectively.

However, for a daily device, Note 4 may not be for everyone. The Galaxy S6 Edge, featuring its Exynos octa-core processor, lighter more effective design and elegant look seems like a better choice for most customers. The Note 4 too is bound to be a hit within its own market. Off-contract price of the Note is $700 while the S6 is estimated to cost around $850.
