Now, its possible for anyone to create an app to sync with Uber services to summon a car. Yesterday, Uber API released their 'Request endpoint' opening the door for just about anyone to develop an app that can avail Uber's driver services.

Woolsey Biggart from Uber API considered the move an opening to endless possibilities. People could come up with their own spectacular ideas like having a cab ready when they finish their meeting or push button services where the cab would be at their door with a push or avail an Uber car with a simple SMS.

Uber expects developers to make their own apps better and smarter through using Uber's services. For Uber every car availed means more business and when people can develop convenient apps suited to themselves or better suited to public needs, it will boost Uber's services. Biggart also reported that Uber had a lot of services, SDK's and endpoints in hiding that they are eager to reveal soon.

Earlier, Uber's cars could be summoned by only a few of Uber's partners such as United, TimeOut, Starbucks. Uber has connected drivers to riders through apps for a while now. It hopes to create more jobs for women who form only 14% of their workforce. The open end job with no minimum hours work and time schedule makes the job attractive to women.

This latest news comes at a time when Uber has been revealed to working at the development of self-driving cars. The company has partnered with roboticists at the Carnegie Mellon University. They have also set up a research facility in Pittsburgh for the purpose. The company was reportedly backed by Google earlier.
