The Apple iPad Air 2 is definitely a gadget to worth having with its bigger screen and a design powerful enough to let you work on many applications.

For those who want to have both a tablet and a notebook in just one gadget, they go for hybrids now in the market like the Microsoft Surface Pro 3.  It is the hybrid that lets the user have a 2-in-1 device with great features and specifications.  For Apple lovers, the iPad Air 2 won't let its usefulness go down without a good fight with the hybrids.

Performance-wise, Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 can be considered less than a tablet but more of a laptop with the Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit operating system making it packed with more power.  For processors, consumers can have an Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 and RAM can be as high as 8GB.  With these specifications, the Pro 3 works more of a laptop and can handle large files.

If you are more of a tablet-loving person then Apple's iPad Air 2 is your kind of gadget.  The device has an A8X processor and an M8 c0-processor with a 2GB RAM powerful enough to process more applications.  Performance may be lesser than the Pro 3 but nevertheless, it is still a very good choice.

With display and design, both have their unique features which every consumer will love.  The Surface Pro 3 has a wide 12 inches of display with resolution of 2160x1440 and 216ppi of pixel density and heavy at 800 grams.  While iPad Air 2 is thinner at 6.1mm with 9.7 inch of display and lighter at 437 grams.  Also, if you want to have all these features in a tablet and can be held in one hand, iPad is your device.  Whichever you choose, you will be a winner of sorts.
