20th Century Fox has just released a new international trailer [via Comic Book] for director Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot that includes never-before-seen footage, including scenes of Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Kata Mara) and her brother Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Michael B. Jordan) flying and using their powers. Just days earlier, an international banner has also been uploaded on the internet that showcase the first front view of Jamie Bell's rendition of The Thing.

The official synopsis for the reboot Fantastic Four movie, which also stars Miles Teller as team leader Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, reads: "A contemporary re-imagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy." The film also co-stars Toby Kebbel as Victor Domashev/Doctor Doom, Reg E. Cathey as Dr. Franklin Storm, and Tim Blake Nelson as Harvey Elder.

Simon Kinberg, who co-wrote the screenplay for the film with Jeremy Slate, in an interview with ScienceFiction, revealed: "We're treating this as the origin of the Fantastic Four so in future movies you'd have them on sort of splashier adventures to some extent, but this one we tried to ground the science as much as possible and make it feel like it could take place in our world before it cantilevers into other worlds." He also said, "It's a much more grounded, gritty, realistic movie than the last couple movies."

In another interview with Latino-Review, Kinberg further disclosed: "...this Fantastic Four movie is sort of a celebration of all Fantastic Four comics that have preceded it...We have elements from the original Fantastic Four...We also owe a lot to the Ultimate's and the current crop of Fantastic Four comics and you'll see that...It's really sort of inspired by all the different history of the Fantastic Four comics...There isn't one comic that defines the movie"

The new Fantastic Four is scheduled for showing in theaters on August 7 in 2D as well as in 3D.
