Though The Walking Dead season 5 had just concluded last March, there's no doubt that rumors and spoilers are already flying around about a season 6. One of these rumors involves a major character dying in the upcoming season and whether it will be Daryl Dixon or not, fans may or may not be disappointed about this news.

Spoiler alert! In the comics, one of the popular villains is Negan and his group of survivors and TWD has brought several of the comic's character's to life however if you have been following the comics religiously, you would say that the plot won't be complete without Negan. That brings us to a report by Crossmap. Apparently, there's a new character that will be added in the upcoming season named Negan. Sounds familiar? Jon Hamm is slated to play the part. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, "Negan and The Saviors, his band of survivors that are as ruthless as Negan himself, and will be a huge plot for the show. It will make the Governor and his croonies look like Care Bears. Armed with a bat wrapped in barbed wire he lovingly calls "Lucille," Negans kills Glen, leaving Maggie a widow. The arc in the novel is actually longer and farther ahead in the pacing of the TV show versus the book. Will Negan show up in season 6 of The Walking Dead? It sounds like it's a strong possibility."

In addition to that, in an article written by Christian Post, Scott Gimple, the showrunner of TWD, revealed that fans may see a deviation in season 6. This is because the previous seasons of the show focused mainly on human threats and that the walkers that had invaded Alexandria is already clue enough on what will happen.

So far there has yet to be any official announcement on when The Walking Dead season 6 would premiere but it is speculated that it will come around by October.
