A robotic chef prototype has been launched by a company based in United Kingdom which cooks delicious meals for you as reported by China Topix news.

The UK-based Moley Robotics will present the newest concept in kitchen aid in Germany's industrial technology event called the Hannover Messe.  Several cooking machines will be showcased and one of them is a cooking robot which is capable of using human hands movements just like a chef does in cooking.

In the future, preparing meals is no longer a burden when you have a robotic chef.  The movements are coming from commands that make the hands of the robot move.

Specs of the robo chef include 20 motors with 24 joints coupled with 129 sensors that move like human hands.  Although it will be hitting the market in two years' time, Moley Robotics would like to add more uses like a dishwasher and a mini refrigerator.

Cooking is a complicated chore so the robotic chef is undergoing training under the BBC Masterchef Champion 2011, Tim Anderson so it can cook something palatable and delicious.  For its first meal, Anderson is training the robo chef how to whip up crab bisque.

In order to be an accomplished chef, the robot needs to do other tasks involving cooking like chopping, assembling and preparing the ingredients needed for a sumptuous meal.  It should learn to finish up by cleaning the pans used and wiping the stove clean.

According to Mark Oleynik of Moley Robotics, they want the people to rely on the device and be comfortable with them around.  It may not be as fast as an ordinary industrial cooking machine but it is programed to adapt to human movements around the kitchen.
