David Bowie's Stage Musical, Lazarus, Has Been Extended

Owing to the great reaction and huge demand, the production company behind the show Lazarus, has received an overwhelming response on the show that is currently running in New York. Fans are all the more inclined and inspired to see this phenomenal event after David Bowie lost his battle with cancer and died at the age of 69 early this year.

Although the show was rolled out in the later days of 2015, as reported on Sky News after the singer's death, his fans have become passionate about having a look at his last project. Losing him for good has created a huge urge on people to go and see the last project he shared to the world.

Considering this immense clamor, the producers decided to keep the show up and running, extending it until the 20th of this month. The tickets of the show varied in prices. Though the costs changed, the ticket sales still managed to increase to USD 2,500 or equivalent to AUD 3, 649. For the time being, the producers have plans to take the show on a tour starting in London, since majority of Bowie's supporters are located there.

According to Telegraph, the producer of Lazarus has confirmed its London tour. On the other hand, James Nicola, the art director of the New York theatre Workshop, where the show is being ran, states that the show is an amazing and strong piece of art. He is also overwhelmed with the audience response the show has abled to garner.

The musical is inspired from the novel written by Walter Tevis and by the deceased singer's 1976 movie, "The Man who fell on the Earth". Ziggy developed its music along with the former playwright Evan Walsh, who helped him with the songs that was released two days before his death.

The album is a compilation of both Ziggy's latest and older songs. To date, Bowie's music is still loved by enthusiasts and continues to hit the charts even to this day.
