'Mr. Robot' Season 3 Air Date Possibly Set For Fall As Rami Malek Finishes 'Papillion' Remake With Charlie Hunnam

Fans are already hoping for "Mr. Robot" Season 3 to premiere this summer. However, it looks like the USA Network series will be on hiatus until late 2017. After all, Rami Malek has just completed work on the remake of the Steve McQueen film "Papillion", which will also star "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" actor Charlie Hunnam.

"Mr. Robot" has already been confirmed for a third season while Season 2 was still on air. However, Sam Esmail has also made it clear that the next chapter of Elliot's story will not premiere in summer. The "Mr. Robot" Season 3 creator told Entertainment Weekly that he wouldn't sacrifice "the quality of the show" just so it could be return "at a certain schedule."
