The second season of "Supergirl" finally introduced the Man of Steel after Clark Kent spent most of Season 1 just sending supportive text messages to Kara Danvers. Needless to say, Tyler Hoechlin's debut as Superman was well-received by fans including Winn and Cat Grant herself. Is it possible that the former "Teen Wolf" actor will become a series regular in "Supergirl" Season 3? People are hoping that Kal-El will play a larger role in the show and even help his cousin bring back her beloved Mon-El.

Fans were delighted when Superman finally met Kara Danvers' boyfriend in the final episode of "Supergirl" Season 2. Unfortunately, the joy was shortlived as Kara had to toss Mon-El back into his pod and shoot him off to space to save his life. It certainly looks like Chris Wood might not return in "Supergirl" Season 3, but Melissa Benoist has already teased on the possibility that the Daxamite will be back soon (via TVLine). But how exactly will he come back? Some believe that Tyler Hoechlin's Man of Steel will save Mon-El from the Phantom Zone.

There are speculations that Tyler Hoechlin could be a series regular in "Supergirl" Season 3. After all, Superman already seems like a great fit with the rest of the cast. In addition to that, the Man of Steel might be the one person who can save Mon-El. However, The CW has yet to confirm whether the "Teen Wolf" alum will be more than just a guest star in the upcoming season. In the meantime, it looks like Chris Wood's return will be closely associated with the show's new baddie.

CeleBeat has previously reported on the possibility that Reign will be Mon-El's savior in "Supergirl" Season 3. Some believe that Odette Annable's Worldkiller will find the pod in the Phantom Zone and could be the one to bring the Daxamite back to National City. The DC villain is set to be a truly powerful nemesis so Kara Danvers will need the help of Tyler Hoechlin's Superman when the show returns to The CW this fall.
