Bobbi Kristina Brown was speeding when she lost control of a Chevy Camaro and crashed down an embankment in Alpharetta, Georgia say local cops.

"We think speed was a contributing factor," George Gordon, spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety in Georgia, said. "We determined she lost control of the vehicle while going around a curve. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor."

The daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina was cited for "failure to maintain lane" and will face a judge in court. A date hasn't been set, but Brown will have to explain exactly what she was doing that caused her to lose control of the vehicle and crash onto a popular jogging path.

"We're fortunate there wasn't a jogger or someone using the trail system where it ended up," Gordon said.

Bornw tweeted thanks to her deceased mother after the accident, saying she must've had a guardian angel watching over her.

"My#PersonalGuardianAngel -- thankumom," she tweeted. "NotAScratch&ok --- Wow,PraiseGod."

Sources speculate she may have been driving erratically due to her recent split from fiancée Nick Gordon. Conflicting remarks have been posted on Twitter reading,"@REALbkBrown and I are not engaged or dating," Gordon, 22, tweeted last week. "Just close like we have always been."

But Bobbi Kristina was photographed wearing a huge diamond ring. However, on Monday she tweeted, "I guess it's time 4me2stop depending on [anyone]. It's my time2follow what Mom&The Lord put out on this path for me."

Apparently Mom and The Lord failed to put out "Slow Curves Ahead" traffic signs on that path.
