Tameka "Tiny" Harris appeared on Good Morning America to discuss a procedure, which permanently changed her eye color.

Tiny Harris Undergoes Procedure To Permanently Change Her Eye Color To "Ice Gray"

Although the particular procedure is illegal in the United States, Harris was determined to change her eye color and went to Africa, where a doctor took her eye color from brown to "ice gray."

"They go into the eye and they make a little slit," Harris explained of the procedure. "They take this implant and it's folded up. They open it and they spread it over your eye. They told me that the procedure would be quick. It's about 5 to 10 minutes per eye."

Harris is best known for her music career with the girl group Xscape, and her relationship with rapper T.I., whom she began dating in 2001. After nearly 10 years together and two children, Harris and T.I. got married in Miami Beach, Fla. on July 30, 2010. One year later, the pair signed a deal with VH1 to star in a reality show about their family life. The series, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, premiered on Dec. 5, 2011, and is currently in its fourth season.

While the procedure to Harris' eyes was done just two weeks ago, she claims she is happy with the results, so far. "I looked in the mirror and I was like, ‘They’re amazing, I love them,’” she said.

However, the procedure could result in serious consequences. According to Dr. James C. Tsai, who also spoke with Good Morning America, the surgery could cause "blurred vision, glaucoma, cataracts, and corneal problems."
